Director of Operations / GM

We are building a modern beverage brand and company with the notion that an innovative, high-quality product combined with a loyal and engaged community can help us thrive in an otherwise crowded beverage field. We are looking for an ambitious, organized, enthusiastic multi-tasker who can spearhead and direct the many moving parts as we build our business and brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Ramona’s operations infrastructure and supply chain
  • Serve as key contact and liaison between various parts of the Ramona universe, including retailers, distributors, contractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Work with distributors to leverage and maximize all retail opportunities, from mom-and-pop wine shops to large national retail accounts
  • Foster and maintain productive relationships across Ramona’s supply chain, from wine-growers to distributors to salespeople to customers
  • Manage inventory, product demand, and production needs, working with all members of the supply chain to ensure there’s enough Ramona to go around
  • Gather, analyze, and report monthly data; interface with distributors and retailers to maximize sales; use data to support strategic decisions
  • Work with the Ramona team to create and manage an annual budget and develop and execute strategic plans for growth
  • Explore and identify potential production, distribution, and licensing opportunities with an eye for profitability, quality, and scale
  • Continuously monitor CPG landscape for best practices and innovative ideas
  • Oversee process of obtaining any necessary permits and licenses and ensure regulatory compliance

About You:

  • You have at least 4 years in beverage overseeing production and processes, experience in a brand-focused company a strong plus.  
  • You have an inventive, creative approach to solving problems, an analytical mindset, and a strong understanding of how to gather and synthesize data points to draw strategic conclusions.
  • You have excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic. You delight in multi-tasking.
  • You are a great communicator and the proven ability to foster relationships with key contacts across a business.
  • You have strong analytical, financial, and project-management skills.
  • You are adept at balancing high level strategic thinking with day-to-day operations.
  • You’re excited about being part of a start-up and growing a business from the ground up.
